A Chemical Engineer's Earnings

Chemical engineers make great money. The average yearly salary in 2002 was $72,490. The highest ten percent make more than $102,520 annually. the middle fifty percent make between $58,320 to $88,830. The lowest percent makes lower than $48,450. The National Association of Colleges and Employers say that if you have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, the average starting offers are $52,384 a year. With a master's degree the engineers averaged at $57,857. With a Ph.D. the engineers averaged $70,729.
