There are a few great acheivements that have happened in history.
1. Chemical engineers played a great role in their ablitity to split the atom and isolate isotopes. A Faclity called DuPont's Hanford Chemical plant used to stratigies to start the production of the atomic bomb during World War 2. Medical doctors now use isotopes to find clogged arteries and veins. Now archaeologists can correctly date their historical discoveries.
2. They also took part in the plastic age. Bakelite(which is a plastic) came in 1908 which started the "plastic age." Bakelite was quickly seen in plugs & sockets, clock bases, jewelry, and iron cooking handles.
3. It has also taken parts in hte human body. It improved clinical care and made synthetic organs to give us longer, healthier lives.
4. Chemical engineers also take a great part in food as well. They help make your food taste better and they make your food more nutritious.
5. They have also taken part in making synthetic rubber for tires, gaskets hoses, and even atheletic shoes.
